About the Project
Under the evocative title „Zustandsbericht“ (“Status Report”), Kunstraum Potsdam unveils a captivating selection of 120 works from the Herrmann Collection and the Contemporary Art Foundation Berlin. The extensive private collection of Manfred P. Herrmann and Burglind-Christin Schulze-Herrmann, encompassing more than 600 pieces of contemporary art, places a distinct emphasis on artists who live and work in Berlin or maintain a strong connection to the city — among them renowned names such as Nan Goldin and Michel Majerus.
The visual identity of the exhibition — from the typographic poster to the book title — approaches the idea of a „status report“ not as a rigid form of evaluation or documentation, but as an open, evolving concept: something in flux, in motion, continually unfolding.
