About the Project
“Theatre is important. ... Theatre is a constantly changing project, a project that asks questions, that questions. Everything changes. Nothing changes. Everything remains new.“ Julien Chavaz starts a new era of the Theater Magdeburg as artistic director with new structures and formats.
Our new visual identity supports this path: the essential visual elements are built around the most fundamental aspect of communication: the word. The Grillitype Ultra ↗ font family allows for new logo arrangements in ever-changing variations; the elements are modular, scalable, and transferable, yet, with the catchy illustrations and the use of abundant colour, clear and recognizable.
The 2022/23 season booklet provides a successful prelude to an exciting theatre season. With two different covers - motifs from the first productions inserted into the title — a round of colourful illustrations, plenty of reading material, and the ensemble collaged in street views already give a clue of what to expect from this autumn onwards!
