“Yasmine and the Seven Faces of the Heptahedron” At the heart of the 2022 Bergen Assembly, Norway's triennial art event, lies an intriguing narrative: Yasmine‘s quest for the Heptahedron.

Our design concept breathes life into this abstract tale, originally conceived in Thomas Clerc‘s play “The Heptahedron” and further developed under the artistic direction of Saâdane Afif.

Seven characters, each symbolizing a face of the Heptahedron, guide Yasmine's journey and form the basis of seven exhibitions in Bergen. Our design features black-and-white illustrations and a mix of handwriting and typography, creating a unique visual identity that simplifies the narrative.

From September 8 to November 6, 2022, Bergen Assembly showcased these character-inspired exhibitions, each offering three artistic perspectives. "The Heptahedron" publication includes eight issues of Side Magazine: seven document each character's research, and an eighth serves as an exhibition catalog. This cohesive approach provided an immersive experience unified by the Heptahedron's concept.
