About the project
In Andreas Mühe’s pictorial constructions, nothing is subject to coincidence; every detail has a symbolic meaning, and the process of image-making is intense. His work is often uncomfortable – and so is his website, in which typography breaks out, and as intentional dissonance meets other elements.
Like in a magazine, the narrative levels of his website create a dramaturgical arc out of different temperatures and tempos accompanied by generous image spreads and the use of different fonts. All these elements together create a playful modern design with allusions to the GDR graphics of the 60s and 70s.
